Colour Theory

The colour theory is used to determine the appearance on a specific age group. These include: 

  • Yellow- The colour of hope, and happiness, has conflicting associations. On one hand yellow stands for happiness, clarity, energy, optimism, intellect, honour, loyalty, but on the other, it represents cowardice and deceit.
  • White- Is associated with light, goodness, innocence, purity. It is considered to be the colour of perfection. White means safety, purity, and cleanliness. White usually has a positive connotation.
  • Blue- Is the colour of the sky and sea. It is often associated with depth and stability. It symbolizes trust, loyalty, wisdom, confidence, faith, truth, and heaven. Blue is considered beneficial to the mind and body.
  • Red- The colour of blood and fire, is associated with meanings of love, heat,  sensitivity, romance, strength, leadership, courage, anger, danger, wrath, stress, action, radiance, and determination.
  • Green- The colour of life, renewal, nature, and energy, is associated with meanings of growth, harmony, freshness and environment. Green is also traditionally associated with money, finances, ambition, greed, jealousy.
  • Orange- It is associated with joy, sunshine, and the tropics. Orange represents enthusiasm, fascination, happiness, creativity, determination, attraction, success, encouragement, and stimulation. To the human eye, orange is a very hot colour, so it gives the sensation of heat. Nevertheless, orange is not as aggressive as red.
  • Black- Is associated with power, elegance, formality, death, evil, and mystery. Black is a mysterious colour associated with fear and the unknown. It usually has a negative connotation.
  • Pink- A delicate colour that means sweet, nice, playful, cute, romantic, charming, feminine, and tenderness, is associated with bubble gum, flowers, babies, little girls, cotton candy, and sweetness. The colour pink is the colour of universal love of oneself and of others.
